Terms of Service
Last updated: June 15, 2026
Welcome to Backship. By accessing our services, custom demo sites, or our multi-tenant website creation platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Services Provided
Backship specializes in custom backend software development, building Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) for startups, and modernizing legacy web presences. We also provide automated tools and infrastructure enabling businesses to customize, claim, and host dedicated service websites through our multi-tenant platform.
2. Subscription Terms & Billing
Certain platform services are billed on a recurring subscription basis (monthly or yearly). Subscriptions automatically renew under the same terms unless explicitly cancelled before the renewal date.
Fees & Payments: Payments are billed in advance and processed securely via Stripe or completed using Interac e-Transfer. Subscriptions are due on the 1st of each billing cycle (or your original billing anniversary). All fees are non-refundable once the production workspace and databases are deployed.
Late Payment & Suspension: If payment is not successfully processed or received within 5 days of the due date, we reserve the right to temporarily suspend your website and disable public access.
Cancellation & Data Retention: You may cancel your subscription at any time with a 7-day notice prior to the start of your next billing cycle. If an account remains unpaid for more than 30 days, we reserve the right to permanently terminate the subscription and delete the website and associated data from our servers. Your website data will be safely archived during this 30-day window to allow for recovery and reactivation.
3. Intellectual Property
Backship retains all rights, titles, and interests in and to its core platform logic, multi-tenant directory codebases, template components, and software development libraries established prior to this agreement. All materials, code, and systems provided through our services are the intellectual property of Backship or its licensors, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4. Warranties & Limitation of Liability
Our services and demo sites are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Backship does not warrant that the platform will run uninterrupted, secure, or completely error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Backship shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including loss of profits, revenue, data, or business interruption) arising out of or in connection with these terms.
5. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Changes become effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of our services following any updates constitutes your agreement to the modified terms.
